[Answered] How to resolve error code 30102-11 that comes on an office program

Error Code 30102-11: Installation of Office program may get stuck at 87% in some cases or may show you the following error at the first stage of installation.

This issue occurs due to the failure of Windows Installer services.

The Windows Installer provider allows Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to access information collected from Windows Installer applications.

The executable program that interprets packages and installs products is Msiexec.exe. 

It is required to repair windows installer services to fix this issue.

Solutions for Error Code 30102-11 :

The basic troubleshooting for error code 30102-11 is to repair the office program, if it fails, we need to uninstall the Office program and run the advanced scripts to fix the issue.

Error Code 30102-11 in Windows 10

  1. Press the Windows logo key + X to see a list of commands and options. (Basically, a quick way to get to Programs and Features in Control Panel.)
  2. Click Programs and Features.
  3. Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
  4. Do one of the following:
  • In Office 2010, click Repair > Continue.
  • In-Office 2013, click  Quick Repair.

You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

Windows 8

  3. Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
  3. Do one of the following:
  • In Office 2010, click Repair > Continue.
  • In Office 2013, click Quick Repair.

You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

If the issue still persists you need to uninstall the office and reinstall.

Type in the product key and click on Setup It will ask you to log in to your Microsoft account. So that the new installation is associated with your Microsoft Account. Hence it is not required to keep the product key for future use. It will be added to your Microsoft Account. Follow the below steps to complete the installation

Now you are good to use the new Office 2013 or Office 365.
